Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing as well as wrestling, before making her first amateur appearance at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from her loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill in the first round, and she was able to stop her fight in the third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. Aspen won her fight with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina and ground-and-pounded her for a second-round TKO victory. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the opening round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Her first major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie only needed 16 seconds to end Ladd and her streak. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The decision was made unanimously against her.
